Amerigroup Corporation, one of the largest employers in Hampton Roads, is proud to support the JT Walk and Beach Party and other community initiatives through our philanthropic arm, the Amerigroup Foundation.
Amerigroup administers publicly funded healthcare programs such as Medicaid, bringing healthcare to 1.9 million Americans who are financially vulnerable, elderly or who have disabilities. The company’s approach is to proactively reach out to those who need a little help getting the right care, helping these individuals to lead healthier, more independent lives.
But it all starts with Amerigroup's people, nearly 1,800 of whom live and work in Hampton Roads. Along with the JT Walk's fight against ALS, Amerigroup and its associates have actively supported the March of Dimes' March for Babies, Habitat for Humanity and a variety of other charitable organizations throughout the company's home region and beyond.
